Lindsay Rippy, a dedicated Early Childhood teacher at Northeast High School, has been honored as September's Golden Apple Teacher of the Month. The award recognizes her commitment to creating a supportive and joyful learning environment for her students.

"It feels amazing to be recognized," said Rippy. "I knew my students loved me, and I've always believed I was a good teacher, but receiving an award on this level is truly special. There are so many excellent teachers, and to be chosen among them feels wonderful."

Rippy emphasizes the importance of building meaningful relationships with her students. "My favorite part of teaching is my students. I form connections with them that are impactful and often last well beyond their time in my classroom. Many of my former students continue to reach out for guidance, and I value being part of their lives, often in more than just a teacher's role," she explained.

Her teaching philosophy centers on ensuring that every student feels valued and cared for. "Every student should have someone they trust at school, someone who makes them feel wanted and needed. When students have that connection, they find purpose and motivation, and they genuinely want to be in school."

Rippy also advocates for a balance of happiness and learning in the classroom. "A great day at school includes fun. I believe schools could use more opportunities for students to relax and enjoy themselves. When students are happy, they're more engaged, and that's when the best learning happens."

Rippy's dedication and passion for her students have made her an inspiration at Northeast High, and her recognition as Golden Apple Teacher of the Month is a well-deserved honor.
